I just can't seem to stop. I try to be good
for Mom & Dad
and they think I am very smart.
At 5 months of age I know lots of things like: sit, stay, come,
on the rug, move, no, box,
go to bed, gotta go, get in,
get out, heel, I bark and chase my tail
to go out,
I say "oww, oww",
I lay down and put my feet up when someone says "Belly
rub". And I am still growing fast too. I weigh about 50 pounds now
and am taller than Pepper
so I can't run under his belly any more.
I have a hard time chasing Kitty behind
Sultan's
cage too.
Kitty is starting to get mad at me a lot.
I think I am
being too ruff on her
now that I am so big.
It's just so hard
growing up!

In Over My Head
Yesterday I saw things floating on the water
and they had people in them with
fishing poles and
long sticks with big ends.
I protected my
beach by barking at
them and they did not come any closer,
but there were a lot of them all day long and I had
never seen anything on
my water before.
Dad said it was opening day of fishing season...
Then today, my dad did something strange...When we went out to the water, he turned over
the big silver thing that had
always been there, that I run around
when I am
teasing Pepper
with a toy. When he turned it over, it made it look like
some of
those boats out on my water. Then out came a slithering black and yellow snake.
with a red tongue. Dad put the boat in the water
and got in it with fishing poles
and
then he started moving
out in the water like the other boats. He called to me, but I did not
want to go to him.
So I ran to Mom. He disappeared out of my sight.
and
I kept watching for him to come back.
Then finally, there he was.
I could see him again. Little did I know that he was coming in to get
me. I had to get in that
scary, floating silver boat.
I did not want to ride in it and I looked for a
way to get
out as he went farther
away from Mom on shore.
Then I decided to jump out...
But I sank way down in the water over
my head where there was
no light.
I made myself go up to the light and then I dog paddled
all the way to shore
where
Mom was waiting for me. Dad came back to land and put
me back in the
boat again.
I stayed very close to his feet this time as he took me away from
the ground
into the deep
water, but he only made me stay for a couple of minutes and
then let me get back on the ground.
When I went in the house I went right to bed. I
was
soooooo tired!
Boy was that ever an adventure!
Woof
Wooof
Wooooooof !
